Kristin has a proven track record of developing and executing best-in-class marketing strategies

KRISTIN KOVNER is a seasoned marketing professional specializing in marketing strategies for high-growth tech and media companies. An industry veteran, Kristin has a proven track record of developing and executing best-in-class marketing strategies that grow product adoption and drive revenue.

Kristin deeply understands the challenges facing high-growth companies in today’s marketplace. She excels at developing strategies that quickly bring step-level change to her clients, from go-to-market strategies and sales development efforts to the deployment and optimization of social media, content marketing, and paid media campaigns. Her approach is hands-on, collaborative, grounded in data, and geared toward action.

Prior to starting her own consultancy, Kristin successfully built and led numerous high-performing marketing and sales development teams at AOL, Google and YouTube. As the VP of Marketing at AOL during a turnaround, Kristin led the business brand’s repositioning efforts, overseeing seven straight quarters of revenue growth, and the launch of three consumer-facing websites that each grew to become Top 5 within their respective categories.

Kristin’s marketing creates markets. As the Head of Industry Marketing at YouTube, Kristin helped launch the company’s first advertising products, fueling demand for a then-nascent video advertising market and advancing the company’s trajectory on the road to profitability.

Kristin’s early background in journalism (she wrote for both Newsweek & SmartMoney, the WSJ’s magazine) and economic consulting (where she worked with large data sets to discern trends) affords her clients a unique perspective on the use of data in effective marketing and on successful brand storytelling.

Kristin is passionate about digital marketing, and shares her views on today’s trends as a Media Columnist at ClickZ. Her columns have been featured in Entrepreneur, Mashable and PopSugar.

Kristin is a graduate of Yale College, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.

Sofya Yampolsky

VP of Design

Sofya Yampolsky has over 20 years of experience in visual design across a range of digital and print media, with particular emphasis on marketing design. She has worked with startups, small businesses, non-profits & large corporations. She is a practicing fine artist with public and private art commissions and awards, and has been recently published in the Harvard Divinity magazine. She holds a BFA in Museum Education and an MA in Critical Media Studies.

Maggie Grimason

Content Strategist

Maggie Grimason is an award-winning writer with over ten years of experience in marketing and journalism. She has assumed leadership roles in communications at boutique marketing and strategy companies and nonprofits, where she facilitated the creation of optimized content strategy and the copy to match. She holds a B.A. in English and Creative Writing.

Cotton Delo has held leadership roles in multiple facets of the media industry, including top-ranked national PR agency DKC, where she helped media, advertising and tech clients with executive positioning and content creation, Softbank-backed startup Globality, where she worked on product marketing and customer success, and AdAge, where she served as the San Francisco bureau chief and reported on Twitter and Facebook. Cotton has a decade of journalism experience under her belt and holds a B.A. in English from Yale.
